What a day, Hondo! 🎉
Yesterday, we got to watch a two year old dream come to life. Over two years ago, the City of Hondo purchased pipe and drape with the hope that one day we could bring a real vendor market to our community. Yesterday, that hope finally opened its doors as the very first Fair Hall Market!
We had space for 50 incredible vendors, and out of those 50, only one wasn't able to make it due to storms the night before. From artists and home bakeries to yard art, leather craftsmen, puppy boutiques, laser engravers, home décor, and so much more, our vendors brought their absolute best. We were also so glad to welcome a local BBQ vendor and other food options to keep everyone fueled up for a full day of shopping, plus a few specialty beer and wine drinks for shoppers to sip on along the way.
Doors opened at 10 am to a flood of shoppers ready to support local, and the energy never slowed down! We heard so many compliments throughout the day, and just as many people, vendors and shoppers alike, asking us the same question: when's the next one?
Thank you, Hondo, for showing up for our small businesses and local makers. Days like yesterday are exactly why we love serving this community.
