Here are a couple photos from the structure fire early this morning at Hondo Attic Self Storage. When we arrived there were active flames in multiple units. We had 6 Hondo Fire trucks, 2 D'hanis fire trucks with 8 Hondo firefighters, and 4 D'Hanis firefighters on scene who worked together to quickly and safely get the fire out and prevent it from moving to even more units within the building. Thank you D'Hanis volunteer Fire Department for your help this morning.

Happy Friday! We hope you will enjoy this long weekend. Keep these tips in mind as dove season begins and celebrating Labor Day this weekend. While parts of Texas received some moisture, grasses can still dry out quickly and be prone to ignitions. Stay up to date with weather forecasts and follow local guidance. Avoid outdoor activities that may cause a spark when it is hot, dry and windy.
☀️ Check for local burn bans or outdoor burning restrictions.
☀️ Avoid driving, idling or parking or dry grass, including with off-road vehicles.
☀️ If towing a trailer, RV or boat, ensure that tow chains are secured and not dragging on the road.
☀️ Do not leave lit grills or campfires unattended. Set up in a safe and clear area then fully extinguish when done.
☀️ Keep a fire extinguisher or water source available.
☀️ Report wildfires immediately!
