🎥 HONDO VOICES: Meet Michael Corrigan
What can happen when you take a chance, work hard, and refuse to give up? Michael Corrigan’s story is a pretty great example. ✈️
In this episode of Hondo Voices, we sit down with Michael Corrigan, owner of Corrigan Air Center, to hear how he and his twin brother, Patrick, turned a childhood interest in aviation into a growing business right here in Hondo.
Growing up on a farm, the brothers would watch crop dusters fly overhead. Years later, they decided to take a chance on starting a business of their own.
Michael remembers saving up just $1,500 and approaching the City about renting a hangar at the Hondo airport. He admits it was scary, but they took the risk and got to work.
And they kept growing.
Today, Corrigan Air Center refurbishes jets inside and out, employs 18 people, and operates out of 40,000 square feet of hangar space. Through hard work, new opportunities, and partnerships that helped them expand, they have continued to grow their business right here in Hondo.
Michael’s advice?
💬 “You can do anything you want as long as you don’t give up.”
He also has a message for anyone who thinks Hondo might be too small to build something big: it isn’t.
For Michael, Hondo is a place where the whole town feels like family. People know each other, look out for one another, and support their community. ❤️
