Medina/Atascosa Texas WIC Program Serving Medina, Bandera, Atascosa and Real/Edwards Counties. The Medina/Atascosa WIC Program serves Medina, Atascosa, Bandera, and Real/Edwards Counties.

We offer nutrition and breastfeeding education and support services to our clients and the community. We have offices in Hondo, Devine, Castroville, Bandera, Jourdanton, Lytle, and Rocksprings. Our office hours are:
Hondo - Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00-6:30pm
Devine - Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00-6:30pm
Lytle- 2nd & 3rd Mondays- 8:15-5pm, Thursday: 9:00-5:30pm
Castroville - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tue

sday: 8:00-6:00pm
Bandera - 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Monday: 8:00-5:30pm
Jourdanton- Monday-Thursday: 7:00-5:30pm
Rocksprings- 2nd Thursday: 10:00-3:30pm
Campwood: Quarterly 10:00-4:00pm

It is with a heavy heart that we must share a sorrowful goodbye to our friend and coworker, Lucy Leyba. Her kindness and presence made the hardest days easier, and her love for her job made coming to the office a pleasant experience for our clients. Lucy, thank you for the memories and laughter you brought to us all; you will be missed, and you leave behind a void that cannot be replaced.
Rest peacefully, our Lucy.

All Medina/Atascosa WIC offices will be closed Wednesday, May 20th, so that we may attend services for our dear friend & colleague Lucy. 🤍

‼️IMPORTANT WIC UPDATE ‼️

A number of WIC approved brands are temporarily unavailable for purchase. This includes some types of fruits and vegetables, juice, string cheese and the following infant formulas: Enfamil AR, Enfamil Reguline and Similac Isomil powder, concentrate and Ready to Use.
We will update this message once the issue is resolved.

All Medina/Atascosa WIC Offices will be closed on Monday, April 6th in observance of the Easter. Hours will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 7th.

Starting April 1, 2026, new restrictions will limit what SNAP recipients can buy in Texas with their Lone Star Cards.

SNAP benefits can’t be used to purchase candy and sweetened drinks.
