Happy National Friends of Libraries Week!
So far this year, Friends of The Mendon Public Library (FMPL) have supported the Summer Reading Program and much more! FMPL help provide free, inclusive programming for all members of our community throughout the year. They fund our popular Take & Make Crafts, offer supplies for youth activities, and fund new and engaging toys in our Children’s area, and ongoing care for everyone’s favorite library fish, Clementine. Just recently, FMPL helped us offer a new collection of screen-free tonies Audio Player for Kids.
FMPL is a 501c3 organization dedicated to enhancing our library. Friends’ meetings typically occur on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except summer months) and are open to everyone. The next Friends meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. You may join the Friends at any time — simply come to their next meeting. Donations to the Friends will directly help the Friends promote literacy, encourage a love of books, and foster the use of library services. FMPL will also be participating in ROC the Day, a full day of giving set for December 2, 2025.
