Today, at Harry Allen Park we celebrated with local scouts as the Village was presented with a SAMs Grant Check sponsored by Assemblymember Jen Lunsford.

This grant of $175,000 will kick off our Harry Allen Park Scout House project to revamp the current scout house that has been in place for over 90 years and has been the home to Troop 10 for that time. This dedicated scout house (named after long-time leader (Curt Barker) will be fully updated over the next couple years. Our first step is to look at the foundation of the space to make our next decisions on direction. Today, Troop 10, Troop 410 and Pack 10 all utilize this space. The scouting programs within our community are critical to our communities well being and we appreciate all who serve!

We know, that one way or another we will need to raise a lot more funding to do what's needed to save this structure for another 100 years! We appreciate Assemblymember Lunsford and her team for supporting this program This is a huge step forward in our process. A special thanks to all the scouts and scout leaders that took part in todays ceremony!

The Village of Honeoye Falls is very lucky to have an active Scouting program. Last week Ms. Lucy Tompsett delivered an absolutely fantastic finished EAGLE SCOUT project to the Village of Honeoye Falls community garden. Lucy and her team made a new picnic table, two benches and a tool caddy for the community garden on Cheese Factory Road. The Village DPW staff then placed the products and braced them down within the garden.

We are thankful to Lucy and her team of helpers and also for the adult mentors that help guide these young adults through the various programs within the scouting programs.

Thank you Lucy Tompsett and team for a job well done!

Reminder:

We did announce last week that the regularly scheduled Good Vibes Flowing concerts were completed

We also did state that we were hoping to reschedule the two shows that had been canceled due to weather earlier in the season.

With that, we do have another concert scheduled for Tuesday evening, September 1 from 6 to 8 PM.

We look forward to the incredible Nate Michaels coming back to Honeoye Falls.

We will hope for great weather and many people in attendance!

Tuesday Evening 8-18-26 at the Good Vibes Flowing Concert - The Village of Honeoye Falls, some of the ROTARY Club Members, Business Friends and community friends, honored Barry Kissack for his 40 - years in business in Honeoye Falls. Barry has been active in many community organizations, and he was one of the initial sponsors of the GOOD VIBES FLOWING concert series.

We thank Barry and his wife Sharon (& family) for their community support. We wish them well in their retirement from local business.
