Last week, the Commissioners and Senator Rosemary Brown presented Gail Laskowski with proclamations honoring her more than 50 years as administrator of The Children’s Center for Early Learning, which has campuses in Hamlin and Moscow.

The Commissioners were joined by Drug Court Administration to celebrate two wonderful achievements.

Drug Court Coordinator Melinda Card was recognized for her 10-year anniversary with the county. Melinda was praised for her commitment to her position, her grant writing skills, for bridging the gap between clients and the resources they need, and for doing it all with a positive attitude.

They Wayne County Drug and Treatment Court also earned their PA Supreme Court Certification, which shows that the programs use proven methods and deliver high-quality services. As a result, more people in Wayne County can recover and build stable, productive lives.

Commissioners were joined by Drug and Alcohol Commission Administrator Jeffery Zerechak and Prevention Specialist Supervisor Melissa McWilliams to celebrate Prevention Specialist Deanna Owens on her 5-year anniversary with the county. Deanna was recognized for her passion, always going above and beyond, and for treating every youth like her own child.
