The March 27 meeting of the Fannin County Democratic Women’s Club will feature speaker Kendall Scudder. He will discuss new Democratic Party policies. Meeting time is 6:30 p.m. at the First United Bank’s Elizabeth May Room. We will also discuss upcoming Fannin County events. Volunteers are needed and all members old and new are encouraged to attend.

I wish everyone, including the media and all politicians, would demand a system where misplacing sensitive or classified material never happens again. The Starr Test for students has security procedures akin to Fort Knox but classified government information gets treated like a garage sale item.

The Fannin County Democrats and the Democratic Women’s Club offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of Bob Slagle. Bob, who was a former Texas Democratic Chairman, died earlier this week in Grayson County. Please keep Susan and the family in your thoughts as they get used to their new normal.
