Teachers Learn Too! π©βπ«π¨βπ«π. Have you ever wondered what your teacher does when thereβs no school due to a Teacher Development Day? Wellβ¦ they learn new teaching strategies, discuss curriculum, reconnect with colleagues and enjoy learning to be a better educator for their students! These past 2 days our staff has been given the opportunity to participate in the HKKK Professional Development Elementary sessions at the beautiful Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa (Waikoloa Beach Marriott) learning about Literacy and Math strategies as well as share teaching opportunities at the KO Education Center (KoΜ Education Center) in Honokaa being trained by the amazing team of Jimmy Casas as they focused on culture, observable practice, and high quality literacy instruction! They also had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious bento lunch at the Marriott while listening to our very own dragons from Honokaa High and Intermediate School Jazz band (Honokaβa High and Intermediate Honokaβa High Jazz Band)! Mahalo to all as our teachers have filled their cups with learning and are ready to welcome back our baby dragons!
