Keiki Heroes is a community education initiative focused on empowering keiki of Hawaii to adopt heal

Keiki Heroes promotes health education materials that are culturally relevant and age-appropriate to support the physical, mental, emotional, and social health of children in Hawai‘i. We believe that keiki can be heroes by helping themselves and others to adopt healthy habits to support community health. As of 2022, Keiki Heroes became a project under Hawai‘i Public Health Institute.

🎉 Updated COVID-19 vaccines and free at-home tests are here! 🎉

💡 The updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccines are formulated to better protect you and your ʻohana against variants of COVID-19 that are currently spreading. Most people will only need one dose of the new vaccine. Contact your healthcare provider or local pharmacy for more information.

📬 The federal government has also restarted the free COVID-19 test kit program! All U.S. households are once again eligible to order four free at-home COVID-19 tests through the mail. Free shipping through USPS is included. Visit COVIDTests.gov to learn more and place your order.

August is National Immunization Awareness Month! 🩹 This annual observance highlights the importance of getting recommended vaccines throughout our lives. Keiki Heroes encourages you to talk to your healthcare provider this month to make sure your ʻohana is protected against serious diseases by getting caught up with routine vaccinations and well-child visits.
