Pacific Signal Celebrates Civilian Teammates
The 311th SC (T) command team and headquarters staff bade fond farewells to several Army civilian employees who are retiring or transitioning to other organizations. Pictured here are our to longstanding colleagues who are retiring from government service:
Mrs. Sharon Losalio, Administrative Assistant to the commanding general, retired after 44 years of combined service as an enlisted Soldier and Department of the Army Civilian! She served with the 311th for the past 14 years. Her farewell award presentation at the Hale ‘Ikena Community Activity Center, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, July 16, was attended by several former 311th senior leaders including Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Jan Norris, former 311th Commander; Chief Warrant Officer Five (Ret.) DeShawn Bell, and Chief Warrant Officer Five (Ret.) Robert Christian, both former 311th Command Chief Warrant Officers.
Yesterday, the team celebrated with Mr. Jaybee Obusan, Deputy G1 Human Resources Team since 2009, his civilian retirement in the location of his 2023 military retirment as a Command Sgt. Maj. with the 9th Mission Support Command - Bongo Hall on the U.S. Army Reserve Daniel Inouye Campus, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Obusan and his wife, who also retired from government service this year, are looking forward to travel and more time with children and grandchildren.
Today, Ms. Shelly Matautia, U.S. Army Pacific G6 Operations Chief and longtime member of the Pacific Signal Community, was farewelled at the Hale ‘Ikena Community Activity Center, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Matautia served as the Secretary for the Signal Regimental Core Association’s Hawaii Chapter for more than five years, and as a Department of the Army civilian since 2009.
The team also sends well wishes and appreciation to Mrs. Josie Pedrina, Human Resources Specialist of the G1 Team on her retirement, and these outstanding teammates:
Mr. Bill Harrah, Deputy G3 Operations, and Mr. Gilbert “Ace” Acevedo, G3 Operations Team.
All will be long remembered and missed, as leaders of this multi-component force prepare to welcome new skilled teammates who will help maintain seamless communications for the Theater Army and Joint Force of U.S. Army Pacific Command, innovating support the cyber initiatives of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Command and Army Cyber Command, and training Soldiers for U.S. Army Reserve Readiness!
