Nu'uanu YMCA Aquatics Dept. The Aquatics Department at the Nu'uanu YMCA is home to lap swim, swim lessons, aqua aerobics classes, family swim, and Master's swim. See you in the pool!

The Nu'uanu YMCA has prided itself on serving the community's needs in a variety of ways. SWIM LESSONS

LAP SWIM

We have lap swim every day. Our lap swim hours vary. They can be found on our pool schedule. We allow the use of kickboards, pull buoys, hand paddles/gloves*, noodles, water weights, and float belts. We have all of these available on the pool deck for members to use or you may bring your own.

*We do not have these available. MASTERS SWIM

Our Masters swim is open to everyone! From beginners to advanced swimmers! Come down and check it out! It's an excellent work-out, fun, and an opportunity to meet a lot of great people! Masters swim is held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:15pm - 7:30pm. FAMILY SWIM

We have family swim every day! Come enjoy the pool with your kids! It's a fantastic way to de-stress after a long day and get great exercise! WATER AEROBICS

We have water aerobics classes that will get you movin' and groovin'! It's a fun way to exercise as well as an enjoyable social atmosphere. Enthusiastic instructors lead high-energy classes that will be sure to make you feel great and leave smiling!

Kicked off EMS Week by honoring the people who helped save Mr. Tan's life!

Proud to say one of our lifeguards played a critical role in this scary situation! You're in good hands at the Y!

Mayor Kirk Caldwell kicked off EMS Week at the Nuuanu YMCA by recognizing the first responders that saved Philip Tan's life at the facility back in February. Philip had a heart attack in our gym, but the quick action of our members (Eric, David and Mark) along with staff (Leilani, Zahc, Loki, and Lydia) ensured Philip's survival.

The Y is proud that our members and staff were a part of the team effort that saved the life of Phillip Tan and we're honored to be a part of this week's special recognition of the important lifesaving work our EMS and paramedics do in our community!
