This weekend is looking pretty jam-packed with events! From festivals to parades, it looks like the commute into town and Waikīkī will be pretty crazy!

Luckily, we're here for you!

Leeward residents, you can take to the Lelepaua (Airport) or Āhua Lagoon Drive Stations, and jump on an A Line or W Line , to quickly get you to downtown, Ala Moana, or Waikīkī.

If you no need park, you no need worry.

(But we have parking at three Skyline stations if you need).

We're stoked to be part of the Hawai‘i Foodbank Food Drive finale! The Wahi Pana: Storied Places joined the convoy to deliver food donated by departments across the City and County of Honolulu.

We want to thank Oahu Transit Services, Inc. and Hitachi Rail Honolulu for helping with our food donations as well!

We're proud to serve the people of Honolulu not only through transit, but also by helping provide food and support to those who need it most.

Action Highlight: Action 1.7 — Integrate Food Access into Skyline Stations 🚉🥗

Action 1.7 of the City's draft Oʻahu Food Systems Plan envisions Skyline station areas as hubs of food access, community resilience, and cultural connection. Through farmers markets, food distribution events, community planting days, and educational workshops, Skyline stations have the potential to become vibrant community spaces that foster pilina, connecting people to food, place, and one another.

This work is already underway through pilot projects at Honouliuli and Hōʻaeʻae Stations, with partners including the Resilience Office, Office of Economic Revitalization (OER), Department of Transportation Services (DTS), and other City agencies. This action is one of 71, and affirms the City's commitment to these efforts now and into the future and promotes cross collaboration between agencies.

Learn more about the draft Oʻahu Food Systems Plan and provide feedback by June 30, 2026, at resilientoahu.org/foodsystemsplan.

Stoked on this one! We have once again gained recognition for our transportation system, with Travel + Leisure ranking Honolulu sixth in the United States for public transportation!

Woohoo!!!!!

The ranking places Honolulu among a select group of cities recognized for providing reliable, accessible, and effective alternatives to driving.

The Travel + Leisure ranking highlighted Honolulu alongside major metropolitan areas including Washington, D.C., Boston, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Jersey City. Honolulu was recognized for its integrated public transportation network, which includes and , and for providing residents and visitors with convenient options to move throughout Oʻahu without relying solely on personal vehicles.

The recognition comes as the City continues to invest in multimodal transportation improvements, including bus service enhancements, transit-oriented development, pedestrian safety projects, Complete Streets initiatives, and planning for future Skyline expansion.

Travel + Leisure's ranking, published in May 2026, evaluated public transportation systems across the country based on factors including accessibility, reliability, ridership, coverage, and overall usability for residents and visitors.

Oʻahu is transitioning school zone speed limits from 25 mph to 20 mph. 🚙✨

In 2022, Honolulu City Council passed Bill 44, which made 20 mph the new default speed limit and the new speed limit for school zones across Oʻahu. Lowering the speed limit in school zones will help slow drivers and reduce the risk of serious injury when kids are walking, biking, and crossing the street. This change puts safety first and reflects the City's goal of protecting our keiki. 🚸

There are roughly 200 schools that need updated signage to implement the new 20 mph speed limit, and we are currently working to design the new sign layouts and secure resources to bring all school zones up to safety standards over the coming years.

Safer streets are built one thoughtful detail at a time, and accessible curb ramps make all the difference! 🚸🌺

Every year, the City builds new curb ramps in areas where people often use wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, bikes, and more. These street enhancements provide safe transitions for people to get out of the street and onto the sidewalk.

Without curb ramps, people using mobility devices can become trapped in the road, causing a higher risk of injuries and collisions. Any person with a disability, or representative of a person with a disability, can submit a curb ramp request form using the link below. 👷‍♂️💫
