It is with great sadness that we announce the death of one our founders, Peter R. Hallock, born November 19, 1924, died April 27, 2014 in his Fall City home. A world-renowned church musician, he spent 40 years at St. Mark's Cathedral, Seattle, and will be remembered as the musician who revived the ancient monastic rite of Compline. He was also responsible for the installation of the Flentrop Organ in 1965, and wrote a three-year cycle of psalms (The Ionian Psalter), the most widely used choral psalter in the Episcopal and Lutheran churches today. A burial service and a tribute concert are being planned to honor this giant in the world of church music.

Our newest publications are three works by Johann Kuhnau (1660-1722) edited by Dr. Evangeline Rimbach. The works are: Missa in F, a cantata on Lobe den Herrn (Praise to the Lord), and Four Christmas Laudes (interpolations on the Magnificat). They received the most attention at the ALCM exhibit last week.
