Association of Hawai'i Archivists

Association of Hawai'i Archivists AHA encourages the preservation of and access to a wide variety of historical materials... we invite your discussion here!

The Association of Hawai‘i Archivists (AHA) was established to promote cooperation and exchange of information among individuals interested in the preservation and use of archival and manuscript materials in the State of Hawai‘i and adjoining areas; to disseminate information on research materials and archival methodology; and to provide a forum for the discussion of matters of common concern. The

AHA FaceBook page exists to connect with professionals outside of our existing reach, to share news related to the archives profession and Hawai'i archival repositories, and to create opportunities to engage researchers, "citizen archivists", and community members. This space was created to support discussions on matters of common concern, contribute photos, and post archive-related events. AHA encourages users to practice professional courtesy and tact. Posts that are unrelated to the archives, library, and museum profession are prohibited. AHA reserves the right to delete posts that contain:
• Unsolicited commercial advertisements for goods or services (spam)
• Personal attacks of any kind
• Political postings unrelated to archival issues
• Copyrighted material

Photos from our last two events. We had a site visit to The Bernice Pauahi Heritage Center where they care for many of the personal effects of Princess Pauahi. And then we had archivist cosmic bowling this past weekend. Look for more events and fun coming in the next couple of months!
