Community Works in 96744

Community Works in 96744 We work to make 96744 safe & healthy by preventing underage drinking. Our vision is a healthy 96744 community with empowered families.

Community Works in 96744 (CWC 96744) is a community coalition focused on preventing underage drinking in Kaneohe. In service to that vision, our mission is to prevent underage drinking, strengthen community collaboration, improve the overall health of the community and strengthen families. Coalition meetings are held once a month, on the second Wednesday from 9 - 11 a.m. Meetings are either in per

son or via Zoom. Meetings often include discussions on:
* preventing underage drinking
* strengthening community collaboration
* educating and informing the community about underage drinking related issues
* working with youth to create peer-to-peer messaging
* other prevention related topics

Throughout the year, the coalition hosts guest speakers who are subject matter experts on a variety of things that put youth at risk of using or prevent them from using alcohol before 21. To learn more about CWC 96744, attend a meeting or a guest speaker presentation or a community event, email [email protected] or call 808-235-7747.

🌺 Last month, officers with the District 4 Community Policing Team participated in the annual Mālama 96744 Graffiti Paint-Out & Community Clean-Up in Kāneʻohe.🧹

The event was hosted by Community Works 96744, a coalition group that is part of Parents And Children Together and focuses on preventing underage drinking and substance abuse among youth in the Kāneʻohe area. 💙

Together, coalition members, officers, and community volunteers painted over graffiti, collected trash, and helped keep the community clean and welcoming for all.

Nothing is stronger than a community united in a common cause to build safer, healthier neighborhoods for all. 🤝

Mahalo to everyone who came out to make a difference! ServeWithAloha
