The Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise is an active, community-involved service organization that helps causes both locally and internationally, financially and through action, especially youth and those in need. We take pride in having a diverse, talented, skilled and caring membership with high ethical standards. Our weekly meetings feature outstanding speakers who are both educational and inspiratio

nal, and our meetings and socials are intended to develop strong friendships and perpetuate the true meaning of the Family of Rotary. We support our club, district and the Rotary Foundation with monetary donations and participation. We support our club s future with the mentoring of new members and the cultivation of continuing leadership. Every member abides by The Four Way Test and is the epitome of Service Above Self. The Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise held itʻs annual service project at the Hāmākua Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary to assist Healthy Climate Communities with itʻs restoration of the Native Hawaiian Forest in Kailua. Members of the Rotary Club of East Honolulu, the Rotary Club of Kaneohe, the Niu Valley Middle School Interact Club, and the Kiwanis Club of Honolulu came out to help. Rotary District 5000 Govenor Ted Faigle flew in from Kauaʻi to participate in the project which included clearing invasive trees in preparation for native tree planting. The Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise has been coming out since 2017 to support efforts at Hāmākua Marsh.

Last night was a spook-tacular celebration! The Rotary Clubs of East Oʻahu and Windward Oʻahu came together for a Halloween Party and Costume Contest, showing off both creativity and community spirit! 🧙‍♀️🦇 From monkeys to magicians, we saw it all and had a blast connecting with friends. The Rotary Club of Kahala Sunrise was honored to have Hawaiʻi State Lt. Governor Sylvia Luke as a special guest speaker. LG Luke spoke about her immigrant roots, her early education initiatives to add needed classrooms and train more teachers for preschools across the state, efforts to improve broadband internet to Hawaiʻi, and information about the Maui recovery efforts. We were also joined by twenty residents of Kahala Nui. A big mahalo to Kahala Nui for hosting this special event!
