Good day all,

Today, the USCGC HOLLYHOCK page will undergo an official ownership transfer to USCGC HOLLYHOCK, and USCGC SEQUOIA will no longer manage the page.

This is due to Coast Guard Cutter Hollyhock shifting homeport to Honolulu, Hawaii. As a result, the name of this page will also change to U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Hollyhock.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support!

Congratulations to a member of CGC SEQUOIA on advancing to Petty Officer 2nd Class! Bravo Zulu!

Welcome to the Great Lakes!

After a 2,537 nautical mile voyage, the Coast Guard Cutter Sequoia finally arrived at their new home port, Port Huron!📍

The Sequoia spent 2 years in Baltimore undergoing major maintenance and is now ready to tackle the Great Lakes mission.

On the last leg of the trip, from Detroit to Port Huron, the Sequoia crew was joined by family, friends and a few media outlets to welcome them home.

While the crew anxiously awaits the completion of work on the CGC SEQUOIA after dropping off the CGC HOLLYHOCK in Baltimore, the unit has kept very busy. Temporary assignments (as far afield as Alaska and the South Pacific!), courses, awards, promotions, weddings, and Holiday parties are just a few examples of how the crew continues to develop themselves, build esprit de corps, and assist other units. From our families to yours, Happy Holidays!

The CGC Hollyhock has been busy finalizing preparations for MMA! We said farewell to MKCS Vlasblom and BMC Poppink as they depart for their new units. BZ to both of them for their fantastic leadership while serving onboard Hollyhock. As noted in the first picture, we also held a ceremony for all of our crew members who recently obtained their Great Lake Certificate. Stay tuned for pictures of our transit East!
