After months of hearings, floor sessions, and long days at the Capitol, we caught up with Rep. That’s a wrap on the 2026 Legislative Session 🌺🏛️

Today marked Sine Die at the Hawaiʻi State Legislature — the official final day of session. Over the past several months, legislators worked through thousands of bills, committee hearings, floor votes, and conference negotiations to shape policies impacting communities across Hawaiʻi.

As session comes to a close, we reflect on the long days, late nights, and the people who keep the Capitol moving every day. Mahalo to everyone who participated in the legislative process this year. 🤝✨

Conference Week at the Hawaiʻi State Legislature is one of the final and most critical stages of session—where House and Senate members come together to negotiate the final versions of bills.

During this time, conference committees review measures that passed both chambers with differences, working to resolve disagreements on language, funding, and intent. Amendments can still be made, and decisions at this stage often determine whether a bill moves forward or stops entirely.

It’s a fast-paced week of negotiations, collaboration, and key decision-making that ultimately shapes legislation impacting communities across Hawaiʻi.
