Teen Reading Week
Three clases of 8th graders devoured 27 pizzas today as they celebrated the end of Teen Read Week. These classes read the most books in the required time period. Differential between each place was one student.
Furthermore, we doubled the number of 8th graders participating in Teen Read Week this year, compared to last year - our original year of the contest. Over 60% of the 8th graders participated, with ten classes receiving prizes.
First place went to Mr. Hayamichi’s class with 4340 points. They earned a $100 gift certificate. Second place, Mrs. Lam’s class with 4040 points and a $75 certificate and thrid place went to Mrs. Domingo’s class with 3690 points and a $50 gift card.
Other classes earning $20 gift clards each were: Mrs. Pand, Mrs. Wickware, Mrs. Brubaker, Mrs. Cacanindin, Mr. Park, Mrs.WongMrs Lee and Dr. Castillo.
