This beautiful pen*sula was the home to Father Damien and those suffering from Hansens disease from the mid 1800s' until present day. This fully narrated tour gives an insight into what life was like for those living during this time with a disease that left them socially ostrasized and bereft of their families. The dramatic scenery of Kalawao is as breath taking as the simplicity of Father Damien

's Church. It is a story that is emotionally charged but as inspiring as the people involved and the land they lived on. The cost of your Saint Damien Tour will be $298 (excluding tax plus $40 deposit) per person. This includes your flight from Honolulu Airport to Kalaupapa Airport, Molokai and return on a private charter airplane, including your tour of Kalawao and Kalaupapa with a tour guide. From the airplane you will see the tallest sea cliffs in the world and then on the tour bus you will visit the old school house, the location of the orginal hospital, St Joseph's Church and St Phenomena's Church. You will see where those suffering from Hansen's Disease were (quite literally) thrown off the boat and told to swim for the shore, and other places of interest on the peninsula. It is an absolutely stunning part of Hawaii, with alot of charm, history and spirituality. The price also includes the necassary visas required to visit the area. Waikiki Pick Up: 8:00 am (allow 15-20 minutes wait time at pick-up)
