Reminder Re: FSM passport
Applications can be obtain on the website: FSM gov.fm or just google search FSM passport and it’s there.
Important requirements when applying as follows:
1. Renewal- fill out application, sign in the center of the box of the application, if under 15yrs. Old, parent must sign for on the given line below the signature box.2 passport size photo, $50.00 money or cashier ‘s check and a color copy of your expired passport . Make sure application is notarized or our Embassy offices and consulate offices can also do notary.
2. Lost or damaged passports-every requirements are same to the renewal application, except there’s an affidavit form that needs to be filed out and notarized along with the passport application and the fee is $75.00
Applications can be send to our FSM embassies or consulate offices near you.You can also send directly to the FSM immigration and labor office in Palikir pohnpei.
Honolulu consulate processing of passport applications:
-All applications are received notarized and prepared to be mailed out to FSM immigration every end of the week. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks for processing and returns to the consulate. Make sure to follow if your application is received by us. After the 3rd week, it is your responsibility to check if we have received your passport from immigration so when we confirm which address to send your passport to.
