This is the Story of the Thunderbird.
Local mythology of the Great Orphan Tsunami of 1700.
"The Present is the Key to the Past"
- James Hutton, the Father of Geology, 1785.
The same holds true vice versa. The Past is a key to the Present, or in our case, the Future. 320 years ago, the Cascadia Seismic Zone (CSZ) ruptured from Mendocino CA to Vancouver Island BC, releasing tremendous seismic energy, generating a devastating tsunami both locally and across the world. We know this will happen again due to the diligent work of many, sleuthing clues from the land as well as the story.
