🐾 Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog!

Huge mahalo to Kaimuki High School for inviting Victoria and Jordan to facilitate such a wonderful family-friendly walkthrough! We had an incredible time exploring the heart of the Kaimuki campus.

A special shoutout to Ben Murdoch, a senior at KHS, for being a stellar tour guide. Ben showed us exactly what makes this school so special:

🎨 Culture in Color: The stunning murals highlighting Hawaiian culture that bring the campus to life.

🪱 Sustainability in Action: Checking out the W.O.R.M.S club and their impressive environmental work.

🍎 Community Spotlight: Solomon Elementary!

A huge thank you to Solomon Elementary School for having Victoria and Roxanne out on March 3rd! We had an incredible time facilitating the family walk-through and seeing firsthand how this school fosters such a creative and supportive environment.

Our tour took us through some truly inspiring spaces:

• 🎨 The Makers Space – Where innovation begins!

• 🎶 The Music Room – Filling the halls with rhythm.

• 🌻 The Community Garden – A beautiful spot for hands-on growth.

• 🏫 Innovative Classrooms – Seeing where the magic happens every day.

💡 Empowering Families at Home

We were especially impressed by how Solomon bridges the gap between the classroom and the living room:

• EL Assessment: Families can track progress levels and continue the journey at home using school-provided laptops!
• Home Letters: The curriculum includes built-in updates, so parents always know exactly what lessons are coming up next.

We are so grateful for the warm welcome and the chance to see this amazing community in action. Keep up the great work, Solomon!

When you complete the HCF Common Scholarship Application, you are applying for all our scholarship funds using a single application. Our scholarship funds support students who are pursuing degrees from colleges and universities, as well as those obtaining career and technical education at a community college.
