Every year, we think sunny vibes to keep the rain away from Punahou Carnival. This year, it rained crazy hard, but that couldn't stop us from celebrating our alma mater. We braved the downpour to eat loads of food and pull in a large White Elephant haul. And I enjoyed catching up with friends and family I normally don't get to see during the year.

Importantly, I got 24 malasadas ready for the Superbowl party today. West Coast best coast. Let's go Seahawks!

Punahou carnival time! Time to hang out with great friends and eat great food. I managed to catch Jake Shimabukuro while catching up with family, too. An awesome surprise!

Yesterday's sunny skies didn't hold up, but a little rain won't stop this party train. I'll be at the carnival again, today, so be sure to join in the fun!

Earlier today, I went with Helen, a longtime Makiki community organizer, to pull nomination papers.

It has been a wild ride since deciding to run for State House last year. This is another step forward and I am excited to continue working with all of you

It was a blast escorting Auntie Helen around the Capitol for opening day of the Hawaii State Legislature. During the initial proceedings, I was blessed with the opportunity to hang out with the HFA crowd

Afterwards, visiting legislators' offices was a whirlwind of greeting friends, mentors, and advisors, relationships forged over years of work with the Neighborhood Board and Democratic Party

Really rewarding to finally see the Makiki Dog Park open and already being used by neighbors and their dogs.

This project started as a community request and took steady coordination over the past year to move through permitting and site prep. Seeing it land in a real, usable space makes all those small steps worth it.

Shout out to Tom Heinrich for sticking with us, helping to write the resolutions that helped pull the Punahou Square dog park over the finish line. Grateful to the volunteers, city partners, and neighbors who were a part of this.

It was a blast to be a part of the Korean American Day celebration. A chance to eat delicious Korean-style food while hanging out with friends and longtime neighbors

Another day, another reason to get out and protest. I have family etched into Okinawa's Peace Memorial Park. Friends who have suffered from service during the Gulf Wars. A close uncle who passed due to Agent Orange in Vietnam. This one's personal and I'm glad to have been part of this anti-war protest with family.

Happy New Year! It was quieter this year and more relaxing. It was great spending time with friends and family. I'm excited for 2026!
