FISH Food Bank

FISH Food Bank At FISH we believe no one should go hungry. Together, we work to ensure that everyone has access to the food they need.

We are a neighbor-helping-neighbor organization, powered almost entirely by dedicated volunteers who care deeply about our community. FISH Food Bank is a volunteer based organization with three part time employees. Volunteers take turns opening the food bank each week providing groceries to those in need of emergency or occasional food assistance. Those groups of volunteers include members of chur

ches, fraternal organizations, businesses, schools, and families. Other volunteers track food donations, stock shelves, pick up donations from local grocery stores, clean the sites, deliver food to shut-ins, and a myriad of other jobs, all done to keep FISH Food Bank operating efficiently and smoothly. Celebrating over 50 years of Service to our community!

Last week, we shared how Central Gorge Master Gardeners - OSUare helping teach our clients how to grow their own food. 🌱

Now, thanks to donated veggie starts, that learning is turning into action. Our clients can take these plants home and begin growing fresh, healthy food of their own.

Check out our amazing volunteers getting everything ready—this is what empowerment looks like in action. 💚

The Central Gorge Master Gardeners - OSU are making a real impact through their wildly popular Seed to Supper program

There is nothing more empowering than learning to grow your own food—and this program is doing exactly that. Our clients are gaining the skills, confidence, and knowledge to put fresh food on their own tables.

Thank you to the Master Gardeners for sharing your time, talent, and passion. This is community in action

Look at our garden grow! 🌱
We kicked off harvesting on May 1, and it’s already making a difference. Fresh, homegrown produce is on the way to our community thanks to a lot of care (and hard work!) behind the scenes.
A huge thank you toCentral Gorge Master Gardeners - OSU for everything you do to keep it growing! đź’š

A little “day in the life” at FISH 🧡

If you hang around the food bank for even a few minutes, you’ll see it—volunteers everywhere… moving fast, lifting boxes, greeting neighbors, and somehow making it all look easy.

Distribution days are busy (really busy), and none of it happens without this incredible crew. FISH simply wouldn’t run without our volunteers.

These photos are just a small snapshot of the many hands and big hearts that keep things going every single day.
We are so grateful. đź’›
