Kudos to our public works department, led by Jes Mathews, who does a stellar job of maintaining LCMC’s water system!

The scoopers will be working in Lake Cushman this evening.. for a fire in Jefferson County, by the Hood Canal Bridge.. state route 104 and hwy 9 area.

Please leave room for them to work... Stay out of the scooping paths they develop...

This fire is not in our area.... but this is a reminder to be safe with fire.... any fire can be big at this time of year. Especially with the wind.. .

Community Update: Abandoned RV on N. Potlatch Cushman Road

Thank you all for your patience regarding the abandoned RV on N. Potlatch Cushman Road.

We're happy to report that a plan is now in place for its removal, and we've been informed that it should be gone within the next week or two. We're also pleased to share that the removal will not be at LCMC's expense.

Thank you for your understanding as this process has unfolded, and we appreciate those who brought concerns forward. We look forward to this issue being resolved in the near future.

Community Update: Abandoned RV on N. Potlatch Cushman Road

We know many of you are concerned about the abandoned RV on N. Potlatch Cushman Road leading into the Lake Kokanee area, and we want you to know that we share your concerns and are actively working to address the situation.

While it may seem like a simple matter of calling a tow truck, there are legal and jurisdictional issues that must be resolved first. Several agencies have been involved in determining who has the authority to remove the vehicle, and state requirements must be followed before any towing action can take place.

We understand the frustration of seeing the RV remain in place, and we appreciate everyone who has reported it and helped bring attention to the issue. Please be assured that this has not been ignored. LCMC staff, community members, and partner agencies have all been working to find a solution.

We are committed to seeing this through and will share updates as soon as we have new information. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for continuing to look out for our community.

Lake Cushman Maintenance Company is hiring a Programs Assistant I. Part-time, year-round, 30 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., $21/hour. Provides administrative and clerical support for LCMC programs. Must be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with office technology, and professional with the public. No evacuation orders are needed

The helicopter (you may have heard) has been released from the scene, as it is no longer needed
The fire is knocked down. At 1/4 acre or less
5 units on scene
1 more enroute
