Dear Property Owners,

To maintain fair and equitable assessments for all properties, the firm Granite Hill Municipal Services has been contracted as the Town’s assessing agent. The company and its field assessors are currently performing a multi-year cyclical review of all the properties in Town. This requires a visit to check for accurate building measurements and review relevant descriptive data.

The field assessors will be asking property owners for descriptive information, current conditions and to measure the exterior of the building to verify the assessing information. If only a minor is home, or it is inconvenient at the time of visit, the assessor will postpone the inspection and leave a letter with request for the property owners to make an appointment for a later date.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely

Todd Haywood

Join the Recycling and Transfer Advisory Committee

The Town is currently seeking volunteers to serve on the Recycling and Transfer Advisory Committee. This committee plays an important role in helping guide decisions related to waste management, recycling programs, and operations at the Transfer Station.

Members of the committee work collaboratively to:

Review and make recommendations on recycling and solid waste practices
Explore opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability
Provide input on policies, programs, and long-term planning
This is a great opportunity for residents who are interested in environmental sustainability, community service, or improving local operations.

No prior experience is required—just a willingness to participate, share ideas, and work as part of a team.

If you are interested in serving, please visit www.hooksett.gov, click on Volunteer Opportunities at the top and complete the Town Board Application and Fraud Policy. Then return it to Leann McLaughlin at [email protected].

After extensive research and field testing, our officers are now evaluating the latest in high performance pursuit gear — complete with wheels and flashing lights.

Early reports indicate the light up mode improves visibility… the wheels, however, are still under review. Keep practicing, Lt. Lamy, you got this!
