Today's Throwback Thursday is a photograph of Moses and Mary Elliot Rowell. Moses (1845-1920) was born in Amesbury, MA, and served in the 11th Regiment NH Infantry during the Civil War between December 29, 1863-July 17, 1865. This regiment fought in several notable battles including the Battle of Fredericksburg and the Siege of Vicksburg. After the war, Moses worked as a carriage builder and wheelwright. Mary (1854-1937) was born in Bow, and later lived in Goffstown on a farm. Later in life, this duo resided in Hooksett Village on Rose Street.

We had a fantastic time at Genealogy Club last week! A huge thank you to Jacob Kowall, Reference Librarian at the New Hampshire State Library, for sharing resources and family history research tips.

📍Missed this month's meeting? You can still explore the NH State Library genealogy resources here: https://www.nhsl.dncr.nh.gov/collections/genealogical-resources.

📆Join us next month! We're diving into the lives of "ancestors who lived outside the norm" and learning how to track down those hard-to-find family stories.
