Let's give a shout-out to some of the hardworking people who serve our community every day.

Our Planning & Zoning Department often works behind the scenes, but their dedication doesn't go unnoticed. We recently received a wonderful email praising their professionalism and courtesy. A surveyor with 53 years of experience working with planning departments in numerous cities said our team is "at the top of the list." High praise for a job well done!

Our Fire Department truly exemplifies the best of the best. Their job is incredibly demanding, and while we often express our gratitude to Public Safety, it's never enough to truly acknowledge what they face daily. We're thrilled to announce that Chief Bentley was named Fire Chief of the Year by the Alabama Fire College – a well-deserved honor!

Finally, a quick note about our Parks & Rec and Animal Control departments. Signs will soon be posted in our parks with instructions on what to do if you find a lost pet. It's a helpful reminder that you don't need to take the animal to a vet to check for a microchip. Simply call the number on the sign, and our Animal Control officers will be happy to assist with their portable scanners. Good to know!

It has been an honor to serve on the Hoover City Council, and I humbly ask for your continued trust and support as I seek reelection. Together, we’ve worked to make our city a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I am committed to ensuring that Hoover remains a strong, vibrant community that continues to be a safe place to call home with a premier quality of life.

If re-elected, I will continue to prioritize:

Transparency - I believe in an open and accountable government that keeps residents informed and involved. I will always ensure that your voice is heard and that the decisions affecting our community are made after careful reflection and consideration.

Fiscal Responsibility - I am committed to maintaining a conservative budget; prioritizing investing in the essential services and infrastructure that will keep Hoover thriving. We need to ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely, and I will continue to advocate for responsible spending that benefits our community today and in the future.

Supporting Public Safety - The safety of our families and neighborhoods is my top priority. I will continue to support all of our first responders and ensure they have the resources they need to protect us and keep Hoover a safe place to live and raise a family.

Protecting Family Values - As a proud member of this community, I remain dedicated to preserving the values that make Hoover a great place to live. We must protect the stability of our families and ensure that our city continues to provide an environment that fosters strong education, quality of life, and a sense of community through smart, sustainable growth.

Last night was my first time in the office at City Hall since Thanksgiving, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a gift from Hope Baptist Church waiting for me at my desk.
