🏦 Our Simmons seventh grade students had a great hands-on series of financial literacy lessons today, courtesy of Regions Bank. Their Next Step Reality Check Workshop is an interactive and engaging way for students to learn about building and balancing a budget. The goal is to make assigned decisions during the course and complete the experience with a budget surplus. During Regions Next Step Reality Check, students are assigned a persona and then select real-life options that will directly impact their budget. If you have a seventh grader, ask them about it after school today! Thank you to Regions and our parent volunteers.

SMS 7th grade is excited to partner with Regions Bank for a Financial Literacy event on March 20, 2025, and we’d love your help! We're looking for parent volunteers to join us in making this a fun and meaningful experience for our students.

There are two time slots available:
🕗 8:00–10:30 AM
🕛 12:00–2:30 PM

Thanks to some sweet PTO mamas who spent the day yesterday sprucing up Simmons: organizing the concession stand, sprucing up the planters, and making a list of updates needed to keep the school looking fresh and happy.
