]Happy Easter! He is risen! Alleluia!

Pasqua di Resurrezione. Pasqua di Vita Nuova. Pasqua di azzimi di sincerità e verità. Ora finalmente si è manifestato nella sua pienezza il disegno d’amore del Padre. Perché cercare ancora tra i morti colui che è vivo? Perché sostare al sepolcro? È risorto, come aveva predetto. E ci precede sulle strade della Galilea delle Genti.
Sì, ai discepoli che hanno fatto esperienza felice dell’incontro con il Risorto, alle donne e agli uomini di ieri e di oggi che hanno legato la propria vita alla vicenda di Gesù di Nazaret e lo hanno riconosciuto come il Signore e il Cristo, è stato fatto il dono di una nuova presenza e di un nuovo ascolto. L’ascolto di quella Parola che ti legge dentro, che si inserisce nel tuo intimo come lama di libertà e ti scardina dagli schemi di ogni sequestro umano, troppo umano; l’ascolto nuovo di quella Parola che fa sognare spazi di volo e ti fa sentire di appartenere a processi avviati.
E la presenza. Quella di uno sguardo che si posa sul tuo cuore con la forza dello Spirito, che ti fa sentire perdonato prima ancora che tu riconosca il tuo tradimento, che ti sana, prima ancora che tu confessi il tuo abbandono. Una presenza che ridona speranza. Una presenza che è Shalom, saluto del Risorto, che vuole riversarsi sul mondo intero. Il giorno di Pasqua è il nuovo giorno della creazione dopo il riposo dello Shabat. Tutto è rinnovato nel perdono e nell’amore del Padre che porta pace e benedizione su ogni uomo.
Si iniziano dunque processi nuovi. Il Maestro Risorto ci attende “in viam”, lungo le strade, tra la gente, quella più “lontana”, quella più affamata di verità e di giustizia, quella più povera e abbandonata, quella scartata e messa ai margini: la nuova Galilea delle Genti. Via perciò il vecchio lievito: siamo nuovi pani pasquali da moltiplicare nella condivisione, siamo esploratori, inventori di nuove strade, di nuove possibilità, di nuovi cammini, di nuove opportunità. Quelle strade nel Sole che portano gli uni verso gli altri e, insieme, verso il Padre, con il Cristo, nello Spirito.
E ogni cuore che incontrerà il Risorto nella testimonianza del discepolo canterà: Surrexit Dominus vere. Alleluia!

This year the St. Peter Catholic Church could not come together to celebrate "Come to The Stable" because the safety requirements for containing the COVID-19 infection.
However here are posting two picture of Nativity Set received from my sister and brother-in-law.
I am inviting all of you to do the same through out this Christmas Season.

From Pope Francis Apostolic Letter "Admirabili signum"......"With this letter I would like to support the beautiful tradition of our families, who prepare the crib in the days before Christmas. As well as the custom of setting it up in workplaces, schools, hospitals, prisons, squares ... It is really a creative fantasy exercise, which uses the most disparate materials to create small masterpieces of beauty. One learns as a child: when father and mother, together with their grandparents, transmit this joyful habit, which embodies a rich popular spirituality. I hope that this practice never fails; indeed, I hope that, where it has fallen into disuse, it can be rediscovered and revitalized "..........

You are all invited to attend the "Come to The Stable" event at St. Peter The Apostle Church in Hoover, AL this coming Saturday December 10, 2016 from 6 till 8PM and Sunday December 11, 2016 from 8:00 till 13:00. You will not see these scene from the traditional Neapolitan Nativity art, but many families of the St. Peter Church will bring one or more of their nativity representation to share with the community their Christmas traditions and memories.
