Good evening friends.
We hope you all are enjoying the nice weather. Tonight for our work night we enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared by Darrow catering provided by Coterra Energy. Coterra is always a big supporter of the first responders in our area. We thank them for a nice relaxing evening and wonderful meal.

A county-wide burn ban will be in effect from March 30th to April 28th. Please abide by the ban.

A County wide burn ban will be put into effect starting Monday March 30th at 12:01am until Tuesday April 28th at 11:59pm.

This afternoon saw us dispatched to Brooklyn Township for a brush fire spreading towards the woods. Responding units encountered muddy conditions and a rapidly spreading fire in hilly terrain. Due to restricted access additinal UTV units were requested to extinguish the flames. Units operated on scene for approximately 2 hrs.

While the ground may be wet, the warm sunny breezes we have been enjoying this week rapidly dry vegetation above the soil line. This creates the right conditions for a quick-spreading brush fire. Please burn with caution, or not at all if possible!

This warm and sunny weather is a blessing! However with it comes perfect conditions for a brush fire. Despite all the moisture in the soil, all the dead vegetation above the ground dries out quickly from the sun and breeze. Please be cautious if you plan on burning today.
