The Warren County Mosquito Control Commission is planning a treatment for adult mosquito control in your township(s). Please share this information with your residents and let them know that they can call us or visit our website for more information or with questions/concerns.

The following application will be made with a truck-mounted ultra- low volume sprayer. The truck is well marked as a mosquito commission vehicle. The application will be made as close to sunset as possible in order to increase its contact with actively flying mosquitoes. Spraying for adult mosquitoes is done on a limited and very localized basis to protect the public health from mosquito-borne illnesses.

The Zoning Department WILL NOT have office hours this Wednesday August 19, 2026. Normal business hours will resume on Wednesday August 26, 2026 from 2:00-4:00pm.

Please feel free to leave any correspondence with the clerks and they will distribute to the zoning officer upon his return.

Due to a downed tree on power lines, Foundry Road will be closed until further notice.

Reminder that there is no Hope Township Committee meeting this Wednesday, August 12. Due to scheduling conflicts, this meeting was advertised and held on Wednesday, August 5. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

**UPDATE**

There is currently a crew working on Lake Just-It Rd due to a downed tree on electrical wires. The power is currently off and will be restored as soon as the job is complete. If we receive a more accurate restoration time, we will update as soon as possible.

The Municipal Building and two surrounding homes are also currently without power, but our generator is up and running, should anyone need to come to the office. We are here Monday- Thursday 8:30am-4:00pm, thru the remainder of the summer.

Reminder, there is a secure drop box outside the building where any correspondence can be placed after hours or on the weekends. The municipal clerks will access those documents on the next business day, and will distribute them to the appropriate department.

Locust Lake Road (near #119 closer to Mt. Hermon Rd) is closed due to a downed tree on wires. JCP&L has been notified.

Our DPW department is out monitoring roads for any debris or fallen trees, that may pose a traffic hazard.

Hope residents. Following up on the clerks’ office post from earlier today, all tax bills were mailed to property owners yesterday, July 21. They should be in your mailboxes soon. The August 1, 2026 tax payment is the ONLY quarter with an extended grace period (due by August 18 to avoid interest). The November 1, 2026; February 1, 2027 and May 1, 2027 quarters’ grace periods are the normal 10-day grace period, making those quarters’ taxes due by the 10th of each of those quarters to avoid interest charges. You can also visit the Hope Township website to pay your taxes online. The link to the site is here: https://taxrecords-nj.com/pub/cgi/tc/search.cgi?ccdd=2111.

You may drop payments off at the municipal building during business hours or after hours by placing them in the secure drop box across from the clerks’ office door.

Any questions regarding your tax bills can be directed to the tax collector who is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-7 pm.

Hope Residents: The 2026-2027 tax bills were put in the mail yesterday, July 21. Please note that the 3rd quarter taxes (August 1 taxes) are the ONLY quarter with an extended grace period. August 1 taxes are due by August 18 in order to avoid interest being charged. The November 1, 2026, February 1, 2027 and May 1, 2027 grace period ends on the 10th of each respective month. For any tax related questions, please call the tax collector at 908-459-5011 x2. He is the office on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-7 pm. Thank you.

Attention area residents: Mt. Hermon Road is closed just north of Dean Road due to a large tree down on wires. We anticipate this closure to be in effect for some time. Please plan an alternate route if your travels are taking you in that direction. Thank you.
