🎆 THANK YOU FOR JOINING US! 🎆

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support our Family Fun Day and Fireworks Show. As many of you know, we had to temporarily shut down the event due to a severe storm that passed through the area. The safety of our community is — and always will be — our top priority.

We also understand that the fireworks were launched later than the time we had originally posted for the show to resume. That time was provided to us by our fireworks company, but due to additional safety checks and timing needs on their end, there was a short delay beyond what was expected. We appreciate everyone’s patience while we worked to get the show back on track safely.

We understand some may feel the event should have been canceled or the fireworks postponed. Unfortunately, once fireworks are loaded and set up (usually around 1 PM), they must be fired off as scheduled. It is unsafe to remove or disassemble a loaded fireworks setup, and that decision is made following strict safety protocols.

Postponing the entire event also isn’t feasible. We rent equipment, place food orders, and begin cooking as early as 6 AM. A reschedule would cause significant waste and cost — especially considering this event is not a fundraiser. Our goal is simply to break even and continue a tradition that brings our community together.

This event gives us the opportunity to open our fire station and welcome the community in, allowing our volunteer fire company to enjoy the night alongside our neighbors and friends. That’s what it’s all about.

🎆 FIREWORKS UPDATE 🎆

We are still planning to hold the fireworks show around 9:20 PM tonight!

While we’re sad that we had to temporarily shut down the event, safety is always our number one priority — both for our team and for everyone attending.

For those asking about parking for the fireworks tonight, Main Street will be shut down.

There’s no official parking lot or field for viewing, but people usually park on the surrounding side streets and walk in. Just plan for a little walking.

The Hope Jackson Fire Company’s Annual Fireworks Event will be happening as scheduled on Thursday, July 3rd at dusk.
***Due to this event, Main Street will be closed to traffic from 5pm - 9:30pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
Heavy traffic is expected around the event area which may cause traffic delays.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Fire Department's 3rd of July Family Fun Day and fireworks display! It was an amazing day filled with fun and laughter, made even better by the beautiful weather.
