SHARED VISION, STRATEGIC PLANS, AND ACCOUNTABILITY
• What are Hopedale’s priorities?
• What are reasonable goals for us 10 years from now? 5 years from now? This fiscal year?
• What are the best strategies for achieving our goals?
• How does the daily business of the Board of Selectmen contribute to achieving the town's aims?
• How successful has the Board of Selectmen been in carrying out its st
rategic plans? CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT AND HOPEDALE'S IDENTITY
• What can be done to go beyond the built-in transparency of open meetings, to engage with the citizens of Hopedale as participants in our self-governance?
• How can we empower the people in our community to help shape their own future, by promoting a deeper understanding of the issues affecting our town?
• How can we get more young people involved in town governance? LAND CONSERVATION, COMMUNITY PRESERVATION, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND MORE
• How can the town capitalize, economically and otherwise, on what makes it a special place to live?
• How effectively does the town now spend its money?
• What alternative revenue sources exist that can decrease the burden on residential taxpayers?
• How does the Board's strategic plan help to fulfil the desire for land conservation, community preservation, economic development and other aims of the town? As one of your Selectmen, I would bring a fresh perspective, and a desire to empower the citizens of Hopedale to become active, informed citizens. I believe we can achieve a shared vision for our town, with open communication, proper planning, and accountability. If I were elected, I would work hard, along with my colleagues, to address the most important issues affecting the citizens of Hopedale.
