πŸŽ’πŸ“š BACK TO SCHOOL β€” SCHOOL PICK-UP & DROP-OFF GUIDELINES πŸ“šπŸŽ’

Welcome back, Blue Raiders! πŸ’™

The Hopedale Police Department and Hopedale Public Schools have worked together over the years to make school drop-off and pick-up as safe and efficient as possible for our students, families, staff, and community.

With school starting tomorrow, we ask everyone to please take a moment to review and follow these guidelines. These rules have been in place for some time and are designed with student safety in mind.

🚸 MEMORIAL SCHOOL β€” MORNING DROP-OFF

When dropping students off at Memorial School in the morning:

➑️ Enter from Freedom Street and proceed down Prospect Street toward the school.

➑️ When leaving the school, take a right at the bottom of the driveway and exit back onto Freedom Street.

🚫 Please DO NOT use Hope Street, Union Street, or Peace Street to access the school or leave the immediate school area during drop-off.

πŸš— MEMORIAL SCHOOL β€” AFTERNOON PICK-UP

Use Adin Street Side

Please park only in legal parking areas during dismissal.

We understand that you may only be picking up your child for a few minutes; however:

🚫 DO NOT park in areas marked β€œNO PARKING.” These areas will be monitored.

🚫 DO NOT block driveways or fire hydrants on Adin Street.

Please maintain:

At least 5 feet of clearance from the mouth of a driveway.
At least 10 feet of clearance from a fire hydrant.
🏫 HOPEDALE JR./SR. HIGH SCHOOL β€” DROP-OFF & PICK-UP

There are also several important traffic rules around the High School that need to be followed.

When exiting the High School driveway, vehicles are only permitted to:

➑️ Proceed straight, or
➑️ Take a right turn.

Please pay attention to the posted traffic signs when exiting the driveway. The signage has been in place for years and must be followed.

🚫 DO NOT stop on Adin Street or Dutcher Street to drop off or pick up students while waiting to enter the school driveway.

Both streets have posted signs prohibiting Parking, Standing, or Stopping in these areas.

🚫 HIGH SCHOOL UPPER STAFF LOT β€” MEMORIAL PICK-UP

ATTENTION MEMORIAL SCHOOL PARENTS:

The upper parking lot at Hopedale Jr./Sr. High School is for staff only.

Parents picking up children from Memorial School are NOT permitted to enter, park, pick up students, or turn around in the upper staff lot.

New signage has been posted to clearly identify this restriction.

This is particularly important for student safety. Students walking down Adin Street, especially on the side adjacent to the upper lot, can be placed at risk when vehicles enter, exit, or turn around in this area.

🚫 DO NOT enter the upper staff lot during school dismissal.

🚫 DO NOT use the upper lot to turn around.

🚫 DO NOT use the upper lot for Memorial School pick-up or drop-off.

βœ… Please follow all posted signage and established traffic patterns.

πŸ…ΏοΈ MEMORIAL PICK-UP PARKING

If you are picking up a child from Memorial School, please use legal parking areas, including the lower municipal parking lot, which is available for public use.

We know the first few days of school can be busy, and traffic around our schools can be challenging. Taking an extra minute to follow these guidelines helps keep our students, families, pedestrians, and staff safe while also keeping traffic moving.

Please share this information with anyone who may be dropping off or picking up your children.

These rules are in place for one reason: the safety of our children. πŸ’™

Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and continued support of our schools and community.

WELCOME BACK, BLUE RAIDERS! πŸŽ’πŸ“šπŸ’™
