The East Fishkill Fire District relies heavily on the dedication of volunteers. When your neighbors call 911 for fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, or other emergency assistance, it’s ordinary people doing extraordinary work who show up to help.

What we provide:

* Length of Service awards program
* Partial school and property tax exemptions
* NYS volunteer firefighter training stipend program after successful completion of eligible courses
What we need:

Today members of the East Fishkill Fire District and East Fishkill Rescue Squad in conjunction with the East Fishkill Police Department, a local judge, Dutchess County coroner's office and LifeNet helicopter will be performing a *Mock* DUI drill in the area of John Jay High School/Rt 52/Patriot Way.

This drill is being done for John Jay students to drive home the impact and potentially horrific outcomes of driving under the influence. During this graduation and prom season we would like all of our friends at the high school and beyond to make good, safe decisions.

In that area today there will be minor road closures and you will see a lot of police, fire, and ambulance activity. We assure you that everything is fine.

Each spring, the officers and members of the East Fishkill Fire District dedicate an entire week to cleaning, repairing, and detailing all vehicles and equipment from its six stations in preparation for inspection by the Board of Fire Commissioners. This morning, we witnessed an extraordinary display of dedication and commitment from our members.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Chiefs, Officers, and Members for their unwavering dedication throughout the year. Their efforts in maintaining and preparing our vehicles and equipment to be sure they are ready to serve our community are commendable.

This weekend, we hosted the 30th Annual Dutchess County Training Weekend. It was an incredible weekend filled with training, camaraderie, friendship, and networking. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended - a special thanks to our District Chief John Jackson, the entire DCW Committee, the Instructors, the Officers, our Support Group, and everyone who contributed to the tremendous success of this event. We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
