Last week, members attended the 100th anniversary parade for the Plattekill Fire Department. Throughout the past week, on top of answering alarms and attending meetings, members have been working hard cleaning the rig—and boy, did it show! We are grateful for these dedicated members who put in the long hours. It was a fun day full of sharing memories and camaraderie.

East Fishkill Fire District 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance to be held on Saturday, September 12th at 7:30 pm at our Headquarters 2502 Route 52.

Please join us as we mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks and honor the 343 FDNY firefighters, 37 Port Authority police officers, 23 NYPD officers, and 8 EMTs and paramedics who made the supreme sacrifice in service to others.
We will also pay tribute to the more than 600 first responders who have died from 9/11‑related illnesses in the years since, whose courage and commitment continue to define the legacy of that day.

One of the worst days in America's history saw some of the bravest acts in America's history. We'll always honor the heroes of 9/11.

🇺🇸 Congratulations, Jake Mullaney! 🇺🇸

Recently, one of our own, Jake Mullaney, departed for Texas to begin Basic Military Training with the United States Air Force. Last week, Jake successfully completed his basic training, and needless to say, his family, friends, and of course, his second family here at the firehouse, are extremely proud of his accomplishment.

Jake will now proceed to Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas, where he will continue his training to become an Air Force firefighter.

All of us here at the Wiccopee Fire Company wish Jake the very best as he continues this next chapter of his journey. We are proud to call him one of our own and grateful for his commitment to serving his country.

It is with deep sadness that Wiccopee Fire Company announces the passing of two past presidents and life members.

We learned recently that Sol Feivish passed away on February 9, 2026 in Florida at the age of 98. Sol served as President from 1990-1991

Tom Precious passed away on August 20, 2026 in South Carolina at the age of 80. Tom served as President in 1980.

The Wiccopee Fire Company thanks them for their service.

Please keep the families and friends of these Presidents in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve their losses.

This past Monday we trained on how to properly extinguish a car fire. Hands on training like this is a great experience for our firefighters, drivers, and fire police to practice in a controlled environment. We are grateful to our community who donates vechiles for us to train on.

Recently we had 2 newer members graduate from the New York State Fire Fighter 1 program, drills like this provide our firefighters with real life training under the guidance of certified instructors.

Last night several members, families and friends attended First Responders Night at the Hudson Valley Renegades. A great night for a ball game and a great win with a walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth!! Congratulations Renegades!!

Recently, the Wiccopee Fire Company was honored to present the Stephen D. Ziskind Memorial scholarship to Morgan Doughty, from the Hopewell Hose Fire Company.

Morgan recently graduated from John Jay Senior High School and is beginning her next chapter of schooling at SUNY Stony Brook majoring in chemical engineering.

The Wiccopee Fire Company wishes Morgan all the best with all of her future endeavors. We are proud that you were selected as this years recipient.
