Jacob Griffin, the Tavern and the Revolutionary War in Southern Dutchess County. Revolutionary War landmark and Rendezvous for patriots during the including LaFayette, Putnam, Von Steuben and others. Home of Colonel Jacob and Ruth (Woosley) Griffin. He was a leader in the Dutchess Rombout Militia. His home, Griffin's Tavern hosted the Committee of Safety in the summer of 1775. Now owned by

Royal Carting, the tavern is in ruin, but we aim to stabilize it to save for future generations. Donations accepted here:
