The State of The County: Hennepin County leadership and staff are pushing through enormous challenges and continue to provide nationally leading services. Thank you to Commissioner Edelson for the invitation and always representing us here in Hopkins.

Happy Mother’s Day to the most caring, understanding, nurturing and hard working mother there is. Haven is so lucky to have a mother that walks along this path of life with her in a way that she always feels loved and safe, and still finding time to answer every little question she has. You gave her the foundation to be the wonderful little sassy, bright, fearless, caring, kind and funny little monkey she is. She is so fortunate to have the best mom.

Hopkins went across The River to visit our furthest suburb in Greater Hopkins, St. Paul. We had a great night and good reminder to get to more Saints games this summer!

We also ran into University of Minnesota catcher and Big Ten Player of the week Weber Neels!

Out of one of our city’s worst tragedies has come something beautiful, The Waeys Water Safety Foundation. The kickoff event was a huge success!

In June of 2024 four year old Waeys passed in a tragic drowning accident. His mother Fay has been determined to create a school in water safety for our local kids, and she has done just that. A program that helps to overcome cultural and financial barriers to water safety.

Thank you to the board and team who made this moment possible:
Wendy Andersen, Fay Jede, Juliet Nail, Hana Mohamud, Hoda Mohamud, Debbie Kimlinger, Anna Bader, Michelle Borland

Thank you Commissioner Heather Edelson and her team for setting up a tour with Dawn Kenyon and her team at Hennepin County Dispatch. It was an eye opening experience with the good people on the front line of trauma response.

So it begins…Warm weather bike season!

Cars are optional in Hopkins. Three Rivers and Hopkins Public Works do such a great job of making our trails accessible.
