The League of Women Voters - Hopkinsville, KY has set the stage for the General Election forums.

All candidates were contacted via the email that is registered with the Kentucky Secretary of State’s office.

Below is the forum schedule. Names highlighted in yellow have not responded to the emails that were sent on July 23rd to Hopkinsville City Council, Magistrates, School Board and Oak Grove Mayor and Council candidates.

If you are a candidate and have questions, please email [email protected] or message this page.

Hopkinsville forums will take place at City Council Chambers at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center. Oak Grove Forums will be at the OG Community Center.

A detailed forum schedule will be posted at a later date.

We will be on site beginning at 4:30 pm on Monday July 20, 2026 at Challenge House 7 for people to check their voter registration or register for the first time.

Men 2 Be, Inc. will be hosting a Voter Registration Drive at The Challenge House, 1605 Phelps Avenue.

The League of Women Voters will have on-site voter registration beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Whether you’re registering for the first time or updating your registration, we invite community members to stop by and take part.

At Men 2 Be, we believe informed and engaged communities create more opportunities for everyone. As a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, we do not support or oppose any political party or candidate. Our goal is simply to help make voter registration accessible to all who are eligible.

The Primary Election has concluded, and the candidates advancing to the November 3rd General Election have been determined.

The filing deadline for Independent and Nonpartisan candidates is June 2, 2026.

The League is committed to providing accurate, nonpartisan information to voters and will continue to share updates on upcoming forums, candidate meet and greets, and essential voter information on our page.

🗳️ 2026 Primary Election Day is here!

A few things you need to know.

* Your magistrate may have changed. Due to the 2020 census, Christian County reapportioned the magisterial districts in 2023.

* If you are a registered Democrat, there is only the US Senatorial race on your ballot. (If you are a Democrat and you live in Ward 9 - Hopkinsville, there will be two races on your ballot - City council and US Senate.)

* If you changed your registered party affiliation after the deadline of December 31, 2025, you are ineligible to vote in the May election.

* Kentucky has closed primary elections. If you are not registered as a Democrat or Republican, you cannot vote in the May primary.

* Have your ID/License ready when you arrive at the polls.

A FEW IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER …..

🗳️ Kentucky has closed primary elections. You can only vote for your registered party(major parties): Democrat or Republican who have opposition

🗣️If you changed your party’s affiliation AFTER the deadline of December 31, 2025, you are ineligible to vote in the May election. 🗳️

🗣️Check your registration status at govote.ky.gov
If you aren’t registered, register to vote in the November general election.

🗣️Polls will be open Tuesday from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. There are 13 locations to choose to vote at in Christian County
