It is with heavy hearts that the Christian County Fiscal Court extends our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Ruth Mason, a true Christian County treasure.
This past Thursday, our community lost not only a beloved Christian County native, but a woman who devoted more than 60 years of her life to serving Christian County Government. Throughout those many decades, Ruth touched countless lives through her dedication, knowledge, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the people of this community.
Ruth was the kind of person whose presence made a difference. Her years of service were more than a career; it was the love for Christian County and the people who called it home. Her wisdom, compassion, and willingness to serve will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Last year, Ruth said goodbye to her beloved husband, Frank Mason, who served as Christian County Treasurer for more than 40 years. Together, Ruth and Frank devoted more than 100 years of combined service to Christian County. Their legacy lives on in the people they helped, the work they accomplished, and the community they loved and served.
That is a legacy that is truly remarkable.
Christian County was fortunate to have Ruth and Frank. We are grateful for every year they gave, every person they helped, and every contribution they made to making our community a better place.
Ruth will be deeply missed, but her legacy of service, kindness, and devotion to Christian County will never be forgotten. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies are with the entire Mason family during this difficult time. May Ruth rest peacefully beside Frank and may their lifetime of service to Christian County always be remembered with gratitude and love.
With deepest sympathy,
Christian County Fiscal Court
