What an incredible morning at our 2026–2027 Campaign Kick-Off Breakfast! Amy & Derrick officially kicked off our “Making Headlines, Making a Difference — YOU Are the Story” campaign and debuted our new campaign video produced by StoryBoard Videography! 🎥

Last week, we had the opportunity to visit Krusteaz for four United Way campaign presentations with Kurt & Sierra from the Aaron McNeil House, Inc. 💙

As one of our Top 10 donors, Krusteaz continues to make a difference far beyond their campaign support. They provide cookies for the Christian County Literacy Council’s annual Cookies with Santa program and generously donate their used boxes to Aaron McNeil House for their monthly food distributions.

A special thank you to our UWP Board Vice Chair, Andy Pitts, as well as Kevin Maynard & Jay Breckel at Krusteaz, for their continued support and for allowing us to share the United Way story with their valuable team!

Last night, we celebrated some of the most important people in our United Way story! 💙📰

Our John C. Latham Society Appreciation Reception at the Alhambra Theatre was our chance to say THANK YOU to the generous donors who gave $500 or more to our 2025–2026 campaign.

A special thank you to our Latham Hosts, Sarah Francis, Aaron Watson, and Anna Watson, the children of Campaign Co Chairs Amy and Derrick Watson, for helping us celebrate those who give so generously to our community.
As a special treat, our Latham Society members also got the FIRST LOOK at this year’s campaign video! 🎥🤩 We can’t wait to share it with everyone at our Campaign Kick-Off Breakfast next Thursday!

Today, we join the world in remembering Dolly Parton. She is an icon and a legend whose greatest legacy may be the countless lives she touched through her generosity. 💙📚

For many years, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library was a funded partner of United Way of the Pennyrile, helping put thousands of books into the hands of children right here in our community. 📚

Dolly once said, “The seeds of dreams are often found in books, and the seeds you help plant in your community can grow across the world.” Through her commitment to literacy, education, healthcare, disaster relief and so much more, she showed what it means to use your story to make a difference.

We are grateful that a small piece of Dolly’s story will always be part of ours.

Register today to learn more about current scams, red flags to look for, and how report and recover from scams! There is also a FREE shredding event- you do not have to be registered to shred your secure documents!
