Our community lost an honorable man on Thursday. Cody Hardaway was the oldest son of Lloyd and Shannon Hardaway. He leaves behind his parents, his beloved companion, Jennifer, his son, Hayden, his brother and his wife,Tim and Casey Hardaway and little brother, Matthew. Lloyd has worked for the City for 24 years. He is a friend as well as a valued employee. Cody helped the City with any mechanic work we needed. He was a great son, father, brother, uncle and friend.
Cody's services will be Tuesday, the 24th, at the Baptist Church in Horatio at 2. Lunch for friends and family will be at noon at the Fellowship Hall of the Assembly of God Church in Horatio. Everyone is invited. Anyone wanting to help serve or bring food should message me or text me at 870-279-1225.
The City Hall will be closed Tuesday to honor this family.
We are also taking donations for Jennifer and Hayden. You may make your donation by sending it to City Hall at PO Box 378, Horatio, or dropping it in the night deposit at City Hall.
Cody is in the arms of the Angels. He will be sorely missed.

Welcome to the new page for the City of Horatio. Anita and I will be posting announcements, dogs for adoption and any news that comes up. We hope to do it daily. There will be news of the Museum, parks, baseball and soccer (new to this area), parades and the Library. New today is the Zika virus and assistance with mosquito larvicide. We have the tablets (and instructions for use) to combat the mosquito problem. These tablets are to put in any standing water. Just come by City Hall and we will give them out FREE.
