We are very excited to welcome the Horicon Marsh Education Center for this program - Earth Detectives!

Join us for an adventure through time! In Earth Detectives, we'll uncover the amazing story of "Deep Time" written in the layers of rock beneath our feet! Get ready to examine real fossils and learn how scientists read Earth's timeline. Through hands on activities we will crack the case of Earth's ancient past!

Did you know that chickens are technically dinosaurs? It's true - they're modern dinosaurs. Chickens belong to a lineage of theropods. The theropoda classification of dinosaurs means they have hollow bones and three toes and claws on each limb (like a tyrannosaurus!).

Have you voted for your favorite dinosaur decorated by our community members? You have until 3 pm on Saturday to vote!

Voting for our Decorate-a-Dino Contest can be found in our Children’s Area. For the rest of June and all of July, we’ll have these dinosaurs on display throughout the library. Owners will take home their creations in August.
