American Legion Post 134, Horn Lake, MS will be accepting donations for poppies to raise funds for the Christmas Party at Veterans Nursing Home in Oxford, MS. The location is Southaven Tractor Supply and Home Depot in Southaven beginning 8:30 am this Saturday, Nov. 18th. Please come out and support this effort. Thank you

American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Horn Lake Post 134 minutes from meeting, Monday, Nov. 14, 2016.

1. We have a little over $900.00 in the bank.

2. Sat. Dec 10 - Santa will be at the Post. We need everyone to make a batch of cookies.

3. Sat. Dec 17 -The Post will go to Veterans Home in Oxford

4. Saturday, Jan. 7 the ladies will have a Spaghetti supper.

5. Goal-to begin cooking men's dinner in Jan. 2017

6. Next meeting Monday, Dec. 12th at 7 pm

Halloween Party Oct. 29

From meeting last night: The car wash made $122.00.
We are putting a dollar in at each meeting to contribute to our checking balance.
This Saturday is Chili Cook Off. Bring items to raffle and for silent auction. We are also doing 50/50 drawing with two decks of cards. Lois will bring two decks of cards.
Nov 5 is an all day event and other legions will be at our Post. Sorry, I can not remember exact name of event. We need to decorate with roosters so let Lucy know if you have any we can decorate tables, etc.
We are going to begin to collect food items for holidays to make a couple of baskets for those in need.
Nov 12 Jason will set up booth for donations for poppies. Volunteers needed. Jason will disclose locations at a later date.
Jason is planning on visiting VA home the first Sat. in Dec. (more details and final plans coming)
The second or third weekend in Dec will be Christmas with Santa at the post.
After meeting Tanna and I talked with Jason and we are going to work kitchen Saturday night to sell hot dogs, chili, etc.
