Hornell Area Concern For Youth, Inc. Hornell Area Concern for Youth, Inc. Our youth center is available for youth 8-19.

Our normal hours are after school till 8 pm; 9pm on Fridays; 3-9pm Saturdays. We have numerous activities; pool tables, ping pong, Wii just Dance and fitness; computer acess; opportunities for service learning, gardening, hiking, field trips; assistance with homework or reading.

🎨 Celebrating Art & Culture at Concern for Youth! 🌎❤️

A huge thank you to the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, Casey, and TC for helping bring an incredible cultural arts experience to our youth!

We were so fortunate to welcome three talented artists to the Youth Center—Apoorva, Janice, and Shannah—who shared their creativity, culture, and talents with our kids. 🎨✨

Our youth had the opportunity to explore Indian classical dance, Indian folk art, painting, Rangoli, square dancing, needle felting, fabric dyeing, and world building! 💃🖌️🧶🌈

These hands-on experiences gave our kids the chance to learn about different cultures while expressing themselves through art and creativity.

Thank you to everyone who made these wonderful experiences possible! We are so grateful for the time, talent, and inspiration you shared with our youth! ❤️👏

Keeping Our Kids Safe Online!
Concern for Youth was excited to welcome one of our amazing board members, Mike, to provide our youth with an important Internet Safety Lesson!
Mike helped our kids better understand Artificial Intelligence (AI), technology, online safety, and the importance of making smart and responsible choices in the digital world.
We are so grateful to Mike for sharing his knowledge and helping our youth stay safe, informed, and prepared in today’s ever-changing world!

We had some very special visitors at Hornell Area Concern for Youth! 💙

👮‍♀️ Officer Hanrahan joined us for a very important bike safety lesson, teaching our youth valuable tips to help keep them safe while riding.

👮‍♂️ Officer Stiles welcomed our youth to the Hornell Police Department for an informative tour. The kids enjoyed learning more about the department, the important work our officers do, and asking questions along the way.

We are so grateful to our Hornell Police Department for continuing to build positive relationships with our youth and providing these important learning experiences! 🚲💙👏

🚍 Community Service in Action! 💙

The Canisteo Valley Youth Center recently completed a community service project with Hornell Area Transit! Our youth had the opportunity to give back to the community while learning the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and taking pride in the place we call home.

We are so proud of our youth for volunteering their time and making a positive difference in our community! A big thank-you to Hornell Area Transit for welcoming our kids and giving them this meaningful experience. 👏🌟

🔥 Making a Difference in Our Community! 🚒

Each summer, the youth at Hornell Area Concern for Youth choose a community service project—and this year, they chose the Hornell Fire Department!

Working closely with Fire Chief Frank Brzozowski, our youth had a fantastic and meaningful experience giving back. They helped clean the fire truck, ambulance, and essential firefighting equipment. 🚒🚑🧽

Community service is about more than lending a helping hand. It gives our youth an opportunity to make a difference, take pride in where they live, and see the positive impact they can have on their community.

We are so proud of our youth for stepping up and serving their community!

A huge thank-you to Chief Brzozowski and the Hornell Fire Department for welcoming our youth and helping make this experience so meaningful! 🚒

We’re having a picnic at James Street today! Kids should meet us at the Youth Center at 1:00 PM.

If you’d like to swim, please bring a swimsuit and towel. 🩱🏊

⚖️🏛️ A Day at Hornell City Court! 🏛️⚖️

Our youth recently had an amazing opportunity to visit Hornell City Court for a hands-on civics lesson with Judge Coddington and Judge Dagon!

They learned about the New York State Court System, asked thoughtful questions about the judicial process and careers in the justice system, and even had the chance to address the judges one-on-one from the bench. 🎤✨ It was a great way to build confidence and practice public speaking!

A special thank you to Court Clerk Beth for the behind-the-scenes tour, including the jury deliberation room, clerks office, and judges chambers.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone at Hornell City Court for an educational and memorable experience! 🙌
