We want to thank Alstom for bringing the Jr. Achievement program into the Intermediate School. Jr. Achievement is a program that educates students about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through games and hands on programs. Each class had their own expert that directed activities throughout the morning. There were 26 area employees from Alstom and St. James Hospital.

WRRS this week include another update on our travels across the US, information about Alcatraz, a message from Mrs. Hopper and Miss Smith about Aladdin the musical, Project STOP, winners of the Respect Responsibility and Safety and the PE of the month students. We are Red Raider Strong!

Congratulations to Carleigh Woodworth, Intermediate School 6th grader, for winning the Lions International Peace Poster Contest! The theme was Kindness Matters.

The Intermediate School lost 2 of their Veteran Heroes this past summer. As a way to remember them we can look back at parts of their interviews with 6th grade computer students who were creating a Veteran Red Carpet Event for WWII and the Korean War.
Chief Petty Officer Gene Pettibone, Korean War and Staff Sgt. Wally Higgins, WWII, both of these wonderful men came to our school and were interviewed by our students, not once but two times.

A HUGE "thank you!" to the sixth grade Computer Technology class at the Hornell Intermediate School for putting on their event last night for us and the community! Not only did they put an obvious amount of time and effort into their AWESOME presentations, but they also collected all of these donations for our animals!

Just want to again thank HPG and the area restaurants that were involved with the Taste of the Maple City. Here is the article in the Evening Tribune if you missed it. I am very proud of the work the student accomplished for this project.
