Happy Tuesday everyone! If you're reading this now, that means you've persevered through another Monday. June is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Month, and we want to spread awareness. About 6% of people will experience PTSD sometime throughout their lifetime.

PTSD can be a little tricky to diagnose, because it can mimic many other health conditions. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder does not discriminate - anyone at any age can develop PTSD if they've experienced trauma. Some symptoms of PTSD include but are not limited to:

🔷Intrusive thoughts
🔷Nightmares or Night Terrors
🔷Flashbacks
🔷Sleep problems
🔷Emotional numbness
🔷Being easily startled
🔷Hypervigilance

There is support out there. There is hope and you are not alone. We know it can be so hard. We are here to support you at the Hart County Veteran's Committee. We've got your 6.

To learn more about PTSD, scan the QR in the graphic below, or click the PTSD screening questionnaire link. Hit the share button to raise awareness about PTSD.
